Shock Finish 2nd at Irondale

Coach Freichel's team made a big step forward going 2-1 over the weekned at Irondale. The Shocked opened with a 10 point win over the Minnesota Heat. In their second game the team dug themselves a deep hole getting down by 10 before clawing their way back for a 3 point loss against Brainerd. Sarah Skubal of Irondale's shot rimmed out at the buzzer dashing the Shock's hopes of a title. The team responded on Sunday with a 20 point win over the Lady Titans to clinch 2nd place, Andrea Bland's rebounding and outside shooting combined with the execution of the pick and roll by Sarah Skubal and Matia Robinson were too much for the Titans. Chari Clapper and Allie Kloncz contributed sound defensive efforts, while Amy Irving and Nicole Wahlin played solid games on both ends of the floor.
