ABOUT:

The NBBA offers the opportunity for boys in grades 3 thru 8 to develop basketball skills and play structured, competitive games. The season starts in late November and runs through early March. All players will be evaluated and placed on appropriate teams. NBBA teams will participate in either the D-League (3rd-4th graders), the Newburyport League (In-Town) or the Cape Ann League (Travel).

NO Summer Hoops session on Tuesday July 27.

Boys from ALL grades (5-8) should attend the Thursday night (July 29) session that week.

NBBA Coaches & Parents,

Because some boys are playing in other summer leagues, we need to adjust the schedule for the NBBA Summer Hoops 2010 at NHS gym...

-- The weekly sessions for 5^th-6^th grade boys will now be Thursday nights.

-- The 7^th-8^th grade boys Summer Hoops session will be on Tuesday nights.

NBBA Summer Hoops 2010 – SCHEDULE

7^th-8^th Grade Boys (10-11 school yr)

Tuesdays – June 29, July 6, July 13, July 20, July 27, Aug 3, Aug 10

Newburyport High School gym

6pm-8pm

5^th-6^th Grade Boys (10-11 school yr)

Thursdays – July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, Aug 5, Aug 12

Newburyport High School gym

6pm-8pm

Cost will be $50 for all 7 sessions, or just $10 for each session attended (pay each night).

News Article - NBBA Scholarship Winner - Jun 2, 2010

Congratulations to Kyle Uhlig!

Kyle was the first recipient of the NBBA Scholarship awarded to an NHS senior who played varsity basketball and got his start in the NBBA. The Board received several applications for the scholarship. Kyle was selected based on his academic achievement, community involvement, dedication to the game and his leadership on/off the court.

The NBBA plans to award a scholarship every year.
