Welcome to the NSSC Volleyball Club website. NSSC is committed to provide a program of excellence through quality training of athletes in a constructive atmosphere. NSSC is devoted to constantly striving to reach this vision of success through a program designed to give athletes optimal opportunities to succeed on and off the court. NSSC concentrates on improving individual skills at a competitive level while instilling team work and self confidence in our players.

NSSC Goals

NSSC develops self-discipline, confidence and personal growth in young athletes by teaching them to take pride in themselves and their team.

The Coaches teach young athletes the determination and responsibility it takes to be a part of a team and to be a successful athlete both on and off the court.

Our goal as a volleyball club is to help young athletes develop individual and team volleyball skills it takes to be successful in the sport and to develop life skills that will assist them as they develop into adulthood.

We assist young athletes to achieve these goals by fostering a personal commitment to support each other. We do this through positive encouragement and by working together as a team to build character, self-esteem and a winning attitude, while maintaining a strong sense of sportsmanship, diligence, perseverance and discipline.

NSSC has tryouts open to any girl who wishes to tryout for the team. Basic skills are assessed and players are selected to fill a position on the team based upon skill level, performance during the tryout and potential ability to fulfill the position they have been selected. Fees for the 2010 club season covers expenses for tournament entry, membership dues to USAV, uniforms, volleyballs, first aid supplies and reimbursement for coaches fees and traveling expenses to tournaments. Additional fees may apply should expenses exceed the budget that was projected for the 2010 season. Elite teams are guaranteed eight tournaments with the regional tournament and national qualifying tournaments being optional based upon the teams interest and expenses are covered. Players are responsible for their own travel to and from the tournaments.
