The United Girls packed up their families and their equipment and made the trip to Hobart Park near Vero Beach to face the Indian River Soccer Vipers.  The United ladies took the lead about midway through the first half when Monica rattled the ball off of the bottom of the crossbar into the net.  This shot was set up when Maddie made a beautiful first touch, pulling the ball out of the air, setting it on the ground, and then laying it off to Monica for her shot.  The IRS team then found the back of the United net and the teams went into half time tied 1 to 1.

During the second half the Vipers controlled more of the game, possessing the ball and taking more shots on goal.  The IRS girls scored three on the United team.  The match ended with the score 1-4.

"I thoroughly enjoyed this match", said Coach Mark.  "Our girls played very well.  Our touches were good, the passing was good, and the talking was great.  Our on-field communication is coming along very nice.  We came out a little slow in the beginning of the second half and gave up two goals early.  We then got back into our game and finished off very strong.  We had several other opportunities during the match, but just could not quite finish.  All of our girls did a fantastic job today.  I am very proud of them."
