Representing Sarasota County in the Southern States Football League, (SSFL) The Seminoles offer an incredible opportunity for Sarasota County’s community to be apart of an adult amateur football organization that provides young men a chance to play the game they love at the highest level of competition, (AAA) while giving back to local charities and organizations. The SSFL maintains communication with both NCAA and NFL recruiters, which allows exceptionally talented players to use a team like the Sarasota Seminoles as a valuable stepping stone to maximize their full potential as not only an athlete, but as a person, while earning the opportunity to obtain those athletic goals that one has only dreamt of. We are making a commitment to Sarasota County to bring you a football organization that will compete; one that you will not only want to support and cheer for, but will give the community an organization that you are also proud to be associated with.

SSFL teams are rated AAA, the highest level of competition. The league is entering it’s 9th consecutive year, which makes it the longest continuing played amateur league in Florida. The SSFL trains over 100 officials in NFL regulation rules who belong to the SSFL Officials Association. The league Championship Game, The Rice Bowl is played annually at the Florida Citrus Bowl that seats 75,000 people.
