Minor League Basketball

Pacific Northwest – THE VARSITY BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION a Pacific Northwest minor league, is accepting applications for ownership of minor league basketball teams. Team owners will join an exclusive group of leaders in Idaho, Oregon, Washington , and Bristish Columbia who own and operate their own minor league teams.

FRANCHISES WANTED

We are currently looking for individuals or groups interested in owning a franchise (team) in their community.

Each franchise is NOT "just" a basketball team, but also a business. Franchises must be legally incorporated in the state where they play as a non-profit corporation, play in a minimum of a high school gym with bleachers, sell tickets to their games, have a concession stand, sell souvenirs at games, sell game programs, sell advertising options such as ads in their programs to ads on the back of pocket schedule.

The VBA plans to begin play in September 2009! Begin building your team today!

The league does not hold a draft or assign players to teams, but will direct players to nthe nearest team.

Teams will be located in British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Each division will consist of a minimum of 10 teams. Teams will all play a 20 game season. Teams are responsible maintaining scores and stats and supplying them to the league.

Prospective teams, please click the link tot the left and register for free, team name (can be changed at later date). This information will be posted in each division allowing other prospective teams to view the potential competetion. League fees will be due on a date to be determined. (as soon as we see that there is enough interest in the league)

Participation is all VOLUNTEER. Nobody is paid. You are responsible for your own travel costs and we do not assist with relocation.

Players are responsible for contacting the team they wish to play on!

The league will keep a roster of available players by location. This list will be posted on our website. Players can submit their information to the league by emailing me at creynolds@execs.com or clicking on the prespective player link to the left!
