Aug 23, 2012 - Player Complimentary Ticket Procedure August 23, 2012
Dear Parent,
We would like to share with you the complimentary ticket policies and procedures as instituted by the NCAA and Pacific 12 Conference. Your son has received a more detailed information sheet and we hope that together this information will help clear up any questions. But at any time please feel free to call our office with questions.
For a home football game played at Martin Stadium each and every team member will receive 4 tickets. For our away contests only members of the team actually traveling (up to 70) will receive 4 tickets each. For our contest vs Oregon in Seattle’s CenturyLink Stadium (Sept 29) travel squad will receive 4 tickets each.
Players will utilize a web based, password protected portal to input their guest’s names for each contest. Each ticket must have a different name and only the person whose name is given can pick up that ticket after showing picture ID. Each person can only receive one ticket for that game.
The deadline for submission of names or name changes will be Thursdays at 9am for Saturday contests. For our contest vs. BYU (Thursday game) the deadline Tuesday, August 28th at 9am. For our contest vs UNLV (Friday game) the deadline will be Wednesday, September 12 at 9am. There can be NO NAME CHANGES after the deadline. The portal will no longer be available to the student-athlete after the deadline. As an example say that your son’s aunt Jane Doe is put on a ticket card, however on Thursday night she becomes ill and cannot come to the game, the ticket designated for Jane Doe will go unused, it cannot be used by anyone else, nor will it be sold to the public by WSU Athletics. If someone is coming in her place a ticket will have to be purchased from what is available to the general public at that time.
It is possible that some players will not have family or friends coming to a particular contest and other players will need many more tickets to accommodate family and friends. A player may transfer his ticket(s) to another player to use utilizing the portal subject to the same rules and deadlines. All the tickets will be seated together. If there are special requests for seating arrangements your son can designate those in the Notes section of the portal. If your son is unable to borrow another player’s tickets, it is possible for you to purchase tickets that can be seated with the complimentary tickets if seats are available at the time of purchase. See instructions at the Player Family Website - http://freeteams.net/WSUCougarFBFamilies/
Players that are “redshirting” for the 2012 season will not be allowed to watch the game from the sideline. They will need to utilize their Sports Pass (issued to all student-athletes at no additional charge) which allows seating in the student section or if they wish to sit with family/friends they will need to utilize one of their allotted 4 tickets and will put their own name as the “guest” in the portal.
PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED to pick up a ticket at a home or away contest. Tickets will not be released without photo id.
In Martin Stadium children under 2 years of age do not need a ticket. If you wish them to have their own seat; they will need a ticket and a ticket card must be completed with their name. The adult accompanying the child will complete the ticket procedure at the gate. (The age limits may be different at other school’s stadiums.)
If you have family/friends with special seating needs (wheelchair or other handicap) please have your son put this info in the Notes section of the portal and our ticket office will accommodate them. Also please note if they will need an attendant and the name of that person (they will need to have a game ticket and be one of those tickets allotted to that player).
WSU Staff and/or Faculty ARE NOT permitted to receive complimentary tickets from student-athletes. If it is found that a ticket was given, the student-athlete will lose his ticket privileges. This is an ethics law set up in the state ofWashington to maintain integrity in the student-teacher relationship.
At Martin Stadium the Player Will Call Windows are located at Gate B on the Northeast Plaza of Martin Stadium. This gate will open 2 hours prior to kickoff and closes at the start of the 3rd quarter. The seating for these complimentary tickets is in Section 3 and Lower 4 of Martin Stadium.
For away contests each stadium has their own window for the visiting team and you may need to contact that school’s ticket office for the information.
Home game ticket prices are $40 Eastern Washington, $45 (Colorado, California, UCLA) $70 for Washington. If you have internet access there is more information at http://www.wsucougars.com/tickets/ or call 1-800-GOCOUGS.

Jun 5, 2012 - Away & Home Game Ticket Purchase Our ticket manager Paul Finn and his staff have established a new way for WSU player families to purchase tickets to home and away games for the 2012 season, this includes the game vs Oregon in Seattle. Tickets purchased through this process will be seated as close as possible to the player tickets utilized by the official travel squad. There is no limit to the amount of tickets you can purchase for each game, however they are only available while supplies last. Please note that this year players that are official travel squad will receive four (4) tickets to every away game.
Tickets will not be mailed, they will need to be picked up at the player guest will call on the date of the game and picture ID will be required of the person picking up the purchased tickets. If someone other than the purchaser is picking up the tickets please note this information in the special handling box during the purchasing process. The system will also require the entry of your player’s name and payment with a Visa or MasterCard. Also please remember that there are no refunds or exchanges for tickets purchased.
