Ever thought about playing bowls or giving it a try maybe?
Well, here’s your opportunity. We offer ‘Taster Sessions’ every Saturday morning (11am-12.30pm) from May until the end of September. Everyone is welcome from 8 – 80+. We provide all the necessary equipment and coaching. All you need to do is bring yourself and a flat pair of shoes. Couldn’t be easier!
Extra events in 2013 - 'Open Day' and 'Bowls 4 Free' Course
In addition to the regular Saturday sessions we will be holding an 'Open Day' on Saturday 25th May. The 'Open Day' will provide a fun way of enjoying finding out about the game of bowls - if you have never bowled before or want to find out more, contact Barry or just come along any time between 11.00am and 5.00pm.
On the first 4 Saturdays in June (1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd) we will be hosting a four week 'Bowls 4 Free' course, running from 11.00am - 1.00pm. The course is aimed at providing an enjoyable setting in which to have fun, meet new people and to receive coaching.
Taster sessions aren't restricted to Saturdays - you can come along to any of the sessions below as well.

Wimbledon Park Bowls Club offers a range of activities to suit all requirements and abilities.
Weekly events consist of:
- Our popular Tuesday sessions open to all start at 2pm and are an opportunity to try out new skills in an informal competitive environment.
- Wednesday night at 6.15pm is an ideal next step from the Saturday taster sessions; again open to all, Wednesday evenings are about practising skills and playing a few friendly games in an informal environment.
- Thursday is a ladies only session starting at 2pm.
In addition, club members are able to use the green 7 days a week from 11.00 until dusk. The season runs from the end of April to the end of September.
Want to get competitive?
For the more experienced or competitive bowlers we offer many more activities, including a host of Club Competitions culminating in our Finals weekend in September.
Wimbledon Park Bowls Club is affiliated to both the Wimbledon and District Bowls Associaton and also the Surrey County Bowls Associaton, giving our members the opportunity to enter their various competitions. The Club play in two leagues in the Wimbledon and District - the Weekend League (played Saturdays and Sundays) consisting of three rinks of four people and also the Midweek League (played Wednesday or Thursday) consisting of two rinks of three people.
