ADC Tigers

Congratulations to Josh McSwiggan who flew past the 200 points mark for the season so far when we played Leopards on 17th July 2010.  He scored 19 points that game and was also given Main Bitch award.

A thrashing was expected from Sutton's full strength team against ADC Tigers' seriously depleted team.  This is how the first half seemed to be going when we found ourelves 20:9 down at half time. However, the second half saw us coming alive where at one point we looked like we might win through.  In the end, however, Sutton were just too stong.  Main Bitch award went to 2 players.  Claire Perry was on fire and a pleasure to watch through the whole game, and Mike Raymond showed strength and confidence when it was needed.  Final score 35:27.

ADC Tigers were unlucky to lose today against the league leaders, Leapards.  It was an agressive and dirty match and not just the players!  Tigers were in a commanding position at the end of the first half but the second half saw the introduction of very dirty tactics which lead to Josh McSwiggan being fouled off, after which we were unable to hold onto our lead.  Josh easily won Main Bitch but Rodney Enano and Marcus Stepanous were also mentioned in despatches for theitr fighting spirit in the face of an unfair defeat.  Final score 38:29.

Very confident win by Tigers today against the Scorpions.  Good all round performances and no individual Main Bitch given.  Score sheet not yet in.  Final Score 43:9

ADC Tigers gained yet another very easy win, this time against Hotshots.  The hotshots were admittedly a weakened side but Tigers played superbly.  Mike Raymond was singled out for great all round play, especially in defense, but Main Bitch went to Miguel Panis, again for great all round play, speed and determination.  Final score 78:19.

Another easy win for ADC Tigers as we beat Predators today.  Scoring 2 great baskets and giving constant effort, Main Bitch went to Tom Darlington.  Final score 49:13

ADC Tigers were narrowly beaten by Lakers today whose Joe Wilson scored 43 of their 56 points.  Tigers played superbly, however, and were unlucky not to win.  Our Main Bitch was Rodney Enano who scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Final score 56:48.

Once again we went into a game as underdogs.  But not only did we win but we battered Invaders, leading all the way. The 2nd half was especially good as Claire Perry lead the storm.  Also, Tom Darlington had a cracking game which gave him a much needed confidence boost.  However, Main Bitch was awared to Amy Matthews for a sudden improvement in positional play and an all round great game. She also gained a much needed confidence boost.  Final score 60:20.
