Junior Bucs drops 3-0 game to Hillgrove despite efforts of Walters

Walters did all he could to give Junior Bucs a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Hillgrove, as Junior Bucs lost 3-0 in seven innings at Big Shanty Park on Saturday.

Walters had a sound game at the plate for the Junior Bucs. Walters went 1-1. Walters singled in the seventh inning.

Richardson had two extra-base hits for Hillgrove. Richardson doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Bastion gave Junior Bucs fits on the rubber. Junior Bucs managed just two hits off of Bastion, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his four innings of work.

McFarland and Richardson helped lead Hillgrove. They combined for eight hits and two RBIs.

Four relief pitchers didn't loosen their grasp on the win as they finished off the game for Hillgrove. Bristol faced three batters in relief, while Elkins managed to record six outs to aid the victory.

Hillgrove never trailed after scoring two runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Richardson.
