All Saints made it a 100% start to the Somerset League season as they defeated Chilton Polden at home.

On the back of a resounding victory over Crewkerne, the visitors won the toss and confidently inserted All Saints. J Trott (32) made a fine start, with a number of sweetly time boundaries, before he fell in the 13th over with the score on 46. However, his fellow batsmen found the conditions difficult and could only muster another 55 runs, finishing on 101 all out in only the 36th over.

At this stage, it looked as if Chilton Polden were well on top, having scored over 250 for 5 the week before. Nevertheless, Saints had belief after last week's turnaround.

M Nunns and S Trott opened the bowling and immediately troubled the batsmen, with 3 chances going down in the first over. It didn't take long to make the breakthrough though, S Trott claiming a wicket in his second over.  With tight bowling and excellent fielding support, the pressure began to mount on the visiting batsmen, with last week's centurion Pinder caught superbly by stand-in wicket keeper R Collins for just 10, and by the time S Trott superbly ran out Court for 15, it was 42-6.

Polden still had a chance with their strong batting line-up, but an outstanding catch in the deep from Herbert seemed to remove any belief they had. M Nunns (1-24), J Herbert (1-15) and J Trott (1-11) all chipped in with wickets, but the day belonged to  Steve Trott , who claimed 5-15 from 12 with an accurate and aggressive spell.

In the end, Chilton Polden were sent home having only amassed 68 runs while All Saints celebrated winning two from two in extraordinary style.
