Apr 14, 2012 - Club #6 results.... We may not have beaten AZ Kings like I promised, but we did take all the teams we faced to three tough sets! We had our down moments, but rallied as a team and earned 5th place (29th seed overall). I was very proud of our players on the court and off the court for providing the EFFORT, ATTITUDE, and COMMUNICATION (EAC) to help us be victorious. Now we will up our playing level for Regional Championship on May 5th with a healther and stronger team. Here are the team stats from this weekend (results may change due to the iPad running out of battery power...):
Apr 10, 2012 - Club #6 information is posted.... Arizona Region of USA Volleyball As we start of the 2012 season let us be reminded that facilities are one of the most difficult parts of putting together a successful season. To that end, we MUST treat them with the utmost respect. That means keep your coffee, food and coolers outside, NO COOKING OF ANY KIND (includes crockpots, hotplates, sterno heated chafing dishes, barbeques, etc) on the premesis, pick up all the trash around your bench area and your "camp" area, NO ALCOHOL on site, and park in designated parking spaces only. Treat all facility personnel as if they have the authority to ask you to move your stuff because they do. Thanks for your help in making this a very successful season. Apr 4, 2012 - Sunday Practice with DT... I got information that DT will be available to practice with players on Sunday after this Easter Sunday from 3-5 p.m. You don't have to RSVP with him; just show up at Kingdom Courts. This is a good opportunity to fine tune skills and get a different coaching perspective from a national team coach! This will only be for a couple of Sundays and it will start AFTER Easter Sunday. Apr 4, 2012 - 2012 Volleyball Festival Availability... Just a reminder that if your daughter is available to play this summer please submit the response form to me ASAP. You can find the form on the LEFT hand side in the main menu bar of the team website. Click the link and it will take you to the online response form. Click the yes or no boxes and submit directly to me. I clarified with DT regarding any reshuffling of players and he stated that if players want to stay with the current team it is possible. Players can TRYOUT for any open spots in the club. Be aware that if you tryout for a different team you may not have a spot with me. This is also the case if you go to a different club. We are willing to release you from our club but your spot will be filled by another player. Please fill out that form and submit to me soon so we can start planning. If you have any question, feel free to direct them to me or to DT at Kingdom Courts. |

I was extremely proud of our players. Even though we lost some very tough matches and didn't meet the team goal for placing in the top 10, I'm very happy of the growth the players demonstrated and how well they worked together as a team. I will be sad to see you move on but like a mother bird watching her baby chicks fly for the first time, it's for the best and will make you a stronger player in the end.
