Jay - Mar 20, 2010 Baker 9, Jay 6: Jay scored in bunches, but the Gators’ offense was more consistent in the District 1-2A victory. Baker (8-3, 5-1) scored in every inning but two frames, including a four-run third, and got a 3-for-4 outing from Brittney Kilpatrick. She scored three times and was a home run short of the cycle. Lauren Griffith overcame allowing a two-run homer and a grand slam by striking out 11. She also had two hits as did Tuesdae Middlebrooks, while both Carly Barton and Mollie Royal scored twice. News Article - Baker v PDL - Mar 16, 2010 It took the Baker softball team a little while to get going Monday, but once the Gators did they coasted to a District 1-2A victory. Macie Wilde picked up the win and Mollie Royal collected three RBIs in Baker’s 11-0 victory over Ponce de Leon. Royal had two hits and so did Lauren Griffith and Tuesdae Middlebrooks. Both Griffin and Middlebrooks drove in two runs as well. Brittney Kilpatrick and Carly Barton added one hit apiece for the Gators (5-3), who play host to Freeport on Thursday.
