News Article - One scrimmage down; looking for another one this weekend - Mar 15, 2010 We were able to squeeze in the Sunday scrimmage yesterday. We played a lot of innings, and wish the Stanley team we played well in their season. The had a lot of good coaching and players, and should expect to find success this year. We had some normal early season mistakes, but overall some good things happened. I think as the game wore on, we were able to find the groove a little more and start to play baseball the way we know how. There will no excuse made for our not being the best hustling team that we see on any field this year...in any league. You don't need talent or a 1,600 SAT to give maximum effort. Remember to think about where you will go with the ball once fielded- prior to each pitch when you're in the field- give 100% effort and good things will happen. There is only one way to play baseball: wide open. We will either practice twice this weekend, or practice once and play a scrimmage game. We are looking to set up another scrimmage this weekend, depending on the team's availability we have spoken to. More details to come later on that. We will most likely try to set our first play dates around the last weekend of March.
News Article - Scrimmages set for this weekend - Mar 12, 2010 We have two scrimmages set for this weekend (one on Saturday, and one on Sunday). We are set to scrimmage at 9:15ish on Saturday morning at New Hope Elementary Field (field is reserved). Please be at the field by no later than 8:45am. Coach Crawford will call everyone to let them know if the scrimmage is rained out no later than 7:30am on Saturday morning. The other scrimmage game will be at Davis Park on Sunday. Hats will be in and available on Saturday.
