2011 - 2012 Fee Schedule

Here is the complete BRIHA fee schedule for the 2011 - 2012 season. The fee schedule was set by the treasurer in consultation with the BRIHA board of directors and the team managers. The fee for "regular" players was specified in the registration packet and has not changed. The fee for "developmental" players was specified in the Developmental Program brochure and also has not changed. Only the PeeWees team has a Developmental Program this season. The two fee options for "out-of-town" players have not been specified until now.

Regular: $1300

Out-of-town option A (practice + games): $950

Out-of-town option B (games only): $40/game up to a maximum of $600

Developmental: $400

Definitions:

Regular: players that attend most practices and games

Out-of-town option A: players that live well outside Charlottesville, attend some practices, and play in most games

Out-of-town option B: players that live well outside Charlottesville, generally cannot attend practice, but play in some (maybe most) games

Developmental: players that attend skill development practices and may play in select games

Notes:

Practice ice rental accounts for slightly more than %50 of BRIHA's budgeted expenses. In other words, the regular $1300 fee breaks down to about $700 for practice time and about $600 for everything else (game ice, refs, coaching stipends, tournament, administrative expenses, jerseys, etc.).  

The out-of-town option A fee breaks down to $350 for practice ice and $600 for everything else. It is impractical to keep track of how often out-of-town players actually attend practice so that portion of the fee is based on the assumption that most players in this category can usually attend about one hour of practice per week. Players that live well outside Charlottesville but still attend most practices should pay the regular fee. Out-of-town option A players may participate in tournaments paid for by BRIHA for no addtional fee.

Out-of-town option B players may participate in tournaments paid for by BRIHA for the cost of one game ($40).
