Buccaneer Baseball 2011 Elite Eight Finish NEW - Career Statistical Leaders Welcome to the official website for Allatoona High School Buccaneer Baseball! The Bucs started their second campaign on the coast of Georgia, traveled to Disney World and played a tough region schedule. The squad worked hard to improve on an impressive inaugural season which found them finishing full varsity play with a 9-16 record. The 2010 season found the Buccaneers concluding their second season with a 16-10 overall record in AAAA action. 2011 saw the Bucs moving to the always tough 7AAA region with some of the states perennial powers and finishing with a 23-3 regular season record and a 18-2 region record. The team advanced through the first round of state, beating St. Pius in three games at Oglethorpe University. #1 seed White County then played host to the "road warrior" Bucs and then took them to three games, but the Bucs once again prevailed with a 7-6 win in 10innings to advance to the Elite Eight against Thomson. The season came to a close in Thomson with the Buccaneers finishing the season 27-7. The team is now preparing for another run for the State Title in 2012. Allatoona will not only face the tough region competition again from 7AAA but will face perenial powerhouse programs such as: Calhoun, North Florida Christian(FL), Providence Christian (FL), Alexander & North Cobb. The Bucs are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead of them in 2012! The mission of Allatoona Baseball is: To make a positive difference in the lives of student/athletes, primarily through a professionally supported, team oriented relationship between coaches, players, teammates, teachers, families and friends, and to assist student/athletes to achieve their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competitive, competent athletes. May 16, 2012 - Buc stops here Acworth, GA After losing the opener in the best of three series 6-5 in 12 innings, the Bucs playoff train ran out of gas and they fell 6-0 in the second game. Allatoona had plenty of chances in the first but could not capitalize and left runners in scoring position throughout the game. Starters Lucas Brown (game one) and Clate Schmidt (game two) turned in stellar performances. Allatoona finishes the 2012 season with a 23-10 record. Troup moves on to play Columbus in the state final four beginning Monday in Columbus.
