Indians fall again to Bucs
Chatsworth, GA Allatoona avenged a 2010 loss and completed a 2011 sweep of region foe Murray County with a 7-1 victory at Murray. Murray started with a leadoff homerun, reminiscent of 2010, but Lucas Brown settled in and went six strong innings to pick up the Buccaneer victory. Brown scattered six hats and had eight k's in the game. The Bucs bounced back in the top of 2nd with 5 runs of their own, two of them coming off the bat of outfielder AJ Hart as he doubled home two Bucs. The team pushed across two more of the next five frames to cruise to the six run victory. Schmidt, Rogers & Hall all contributed two hits a piece in the 11 hit game by the Bucs. The win moved Allatoona to (17-2, 14-1) and set up a rematch with Ringgold on Friday night at Allatoona. Ringgold handed the Bucs their only region loss of the season. A win over the Tigers would put the Bucs in a good spot for a top seed out of region 7AAA. Ringgold enters the game ranked #2 in AAA while the Buccaneers are currently ranked #6. Make sure and come early to get your seat for this game! An incredible pre-game flag ceremony will take place and the 7th grade Buccaneers baseball team will be on hand as the team of the game!
