CAA Basketball is a recreational summer league. Each child is guaranteed to play a minimum of half of each game by league rule. We are run by volunteers, and we ALWAYS NEED YOUR HELP. Please sign up to coach or be a team parent!
PLEASE NOTE SOME CHANGES TO THE LEAGUE FOR 2009, DUE TO GYM SPACE LIMTATIONS and SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER GYM RENTAL COSTS: Age Groups are changed from prior years, as follows:
Boys Lower Elementary
6 - 8 year olds (K -2nd grades)
Girls Lower Elementary
6 - 8 year olds (K -2nd grades)
Boys Upper Elementary
9 - 11 year olds (3rd -5th grades)
Girls Upper Elementary
9 - 11 year olds (3rd -5th grades)
Boys Middle School
12 & 13 year olds (6th -7th grades)
Girls Middle School
12 & 13 year olds (6th -7th grades)
Boys High School
14 & 15 year olds (8th -9th grades)
Girls High School
14 & 15 year olds (8th -9th grades)
Lower Elementary league will have two high age referees. Upper Elementary league will have one adult and one high school age referee
Middle and High School leagues will have two adult referees
First games will be around Tuesday, May 26. The last games are tentatively scheduled for the weekend of July 18th and 19th. Most teams will play 3 Sunday games (some will play 4 Sunday games) and a couple of weeknight games as part of their 10 game schedule
Games are held at Swiss Point Middle School, Fruit Cove Middle School, Bartram Trail High School, Pro Performance Sports Academy and Fruit Cove Baptist Church. Other locations may be added.
PRACTICES WILL BEGIN AROUND MAY 4th.
Elementary league teams will get seven (7) indoor practices.
Middle/High School league teams will get four (4) indoor practices. Coaches may choose to hold additional outdoor practices.
Cost- Elementary Leagues (6 – 11 year olds) $95
Middle/High School Leagues (12 – 15 year olds) $115
