Fun In The Sun Tournament

The University of Miami Women’s Club Lacrosse Team will be hosting its fourth annual Fun in the Sun Tournament in Coral Gables, Florida. The games will be played February 26th-28th, 2010 on the University of Miami's Michael R. Yaron fields. The cost per team will be $700 due by February 1st. Each game will be played following WDIA rules and regulations with two certified referees and trainer on a full size field under the South Florida sun. Participating teams will play four games in a round robin format.

Last year, the University of Miami Women’s Club Lacrosse team was joined by Northeastern, Rhode Island, Towson, Pittsburgh, and University of Central Florida clubs in its second year. Each team played a total of four games over Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday. The success of last year has reaffirmed our decision to hold the tournament for a 4th time, and we look forward to another competitive Fun in the Sun tournament.

Multiple restaurants can be found along Route 1. There are certain shopping areas that will have multiple places to eat.

University Center:

TGIF, Bagel Emporium

This shopping center is directly across the street from campus. From San Amaro turn Left onto Ponce de Leon and make first Right onto S. Alhambra. Turn Left onto Route 1 North. The shopping center will be on the Right.

Shops at Sunset Place:

Beverly Hills Cafe (Classic american), Johnny Rockets, Cheeseburger Paradise, Panara Bread, Quiznos, Dan Marinos

Take Route 1 South from the Univeristy. Turn Left at the light for Red Road/57th Ave. The Shops at Sunset Place will be on your Right.

Miracle Miles:

California Pizza Kitchen, Houston's, Baja Fresh, Benihana's, Atlanta Bread Company

Make a left onto Ponce de Leon Blvd as you leave the University. Turn left onto Lejeune/42nd Ave at the light. Turn right onto Miracle Miles/Coral Way. Restaurants are all along Miracle Miles which lasts for a couple blocks.

Dadeland Mall:

Food Court, Cheesecake Factory, Villagio(pizza & pasta)

Take Route 1 South from the University. Turn Right onto Kendall Drive/88th Ave. Dadeland Mall will be on your right.
