News Article - Cobras defeat Onondaga - May 3, 2012 Bishop Grimes scored 10 runs in the first 2 innings to cruise past Onondaga 10 to 2. Junior Ryan Martin got the win pitching 5 innings allowing only 2 hits with 4 strike outs. Sophmore Chris Schad pitched 2 scoreless innings allowing no hits. Sophmore Chris Hendrick led the offense with 3 hits, 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Sophmore Tom Steinberg had 2 hits and 2 stolen bases, and Sophmore Joe Arrigo had a double and 2 RBI.
News Article - Fabius-Pompey defeats Grimes - May 3, 2012 The Cobras fell behind early against Fabius giving up 7 runs in the first 2 innings. Grimes came back to get the game to 7 - 5 but fell short. The Cobras out-hit the Falcons 11 to 9; Senior Zac Cousineau had 3 hits and Sophmores Joe Arrigo and Tom Steinberg added 2 hits each. Senior Josh Allan pitched 4 innings of relief keeping the Cobras in the game, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 4.

Senior Zac Cousineau got the win in relief, allowing 1 hit over the final 3 innings. Sophmore Chris Sched led the offense with 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and 2 RBI. Cousineau tied the game in the 7th driving in 2 runs with a triple, and scored the winning run on a steal of home.

The Cobras fell behind early giving up 9 runs in the first 3 innings, commiting 4 errors. Sophmore Chris Schad went 3 for 3 for Grimes and fellow sophmore Tommy Steinberg added 2 hits.

News Article - Bishop Grimes finish 1 - 3 at Mingo Bay Classic. - Apr 25, 2012 Bishop Grimes Baseball traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC and competed in the Mingo Bay Classic Tournament over Spring break. The Cobras finished with a 1 and 3 record in the tournament. Grimes dropped the opening game to Cazenovia H.S. 3 to 1. Junior Ryan Martin pitched 6 strong innings in the loss. In the second game the Cobras bounced back to defeat St. Edmunds Prep (Brooklyn, NY) 12 to 1. Junior Ryan Gosson got the win for Grimes, striking out 6. Sophmores Chris Schad and Tommy Steinberg each had 2 hits for Grimes. Steinberg, sophmore Chris Hendrick and Junior Jeff Smith each had 2 RBI. The Cobras fell to host North Myrtle Beach H.S. in the third game 12 to 1. Senior Josh Allan had 1 hit and 1 RBI for Grimes. In the final game Bishop Grimes fell to Beekmanton, NY 6 to 4. The Cobras late rally fell short, leaving bases loaded in the 7th inning. Senior Josh Allan scored 2 runs and had 3 stolen bases for Grimes.
