Jul 6, 2011 - Pirates vs. Steel

Denver Pirates Pound the Pueblo Steel 54-0. This was a rematch from last year when the Pirates went to Pueblo undefeated and came home with a loss. This year Pueblo came up to Denver and we played harder then ever before. the offense scored quickly with running back Sy Patterson having one of his better games running at will and also second year RB Marcus Brogan breaking one for a TD.and both moving the chains, then you add our QB's scoring in the air to our tight End Aaron Walker for two TD's and, then you have Eric Ramsey taking a punt return to the house for a TD his second special teams TD this year. Our Defense got back to doing what they do best and shutting out another team with that being said that has been the most shutouts in Pirates history. good Job to the coaches and Pirate players.

Jun 26, 2011 - titans vs. Pirates

Denver Pirates get thier first loss. Losing to the defending Champion Titans 20-14. The Titans come from behind trailing 14-3 at halftime to take away a hopeful win. Just another battle between these two rival teams thats been going on for years. Stay strong Pirates and practice makes perfect.

Jun 19, 2011 - Pirates vs. Flames

A Big victory for the Pirates beating the #1 ranked Flames. The defense doing thier job once again and shutting out yet another cfc rival. This game was a must win game for the Pirates that could be the tiebreaker for the division. The Pirates Defense is on a mission only allowing 12 points total out of 6 games, coach Scott Darnell has these guys on fire. The offense also doing what we where missing last year and thats scoring points when needed to make the victory a well deserved team effort. good jobs Pirates!

Jun 12, 2011 - Pirates vs. stealth

Pirates Go 4-0 after beating the Co. Springs Stealth .

The Pirates Defense doing what the do best shutting out another team and the offense scoring on a td pass to TE Aaron  for a touchdown and a special teams Td closes the game at 13-0 The Defense had numerous turnovers including Kris canterbury two int. and others on the defense controlling the game . good job Pirates.

Jun 8, 2011 - No Title

Denver Pirates win again move to 3-0 for the season.

The Pirates travel to Co. Springs on thier 1 out of 3 trips this year and come back to Denver with a victory, beating the Cyclone 54-12. The Pirates offense was on fire with Romail Gordon throwing a few TD passes and our Running backs plowing through defenses for TD's the scores kept going up. Not to mention the Defense getting two safetys right away and creating turnovers left and right doing what they do best. unfortunatly we did have a crucial turnover that put the Cyclones down on the 2 yard line and they score ending our shutout streak. good job by both teams showing great sportsmanship and good job to all the Pirate family and fans as well.

Pirates Win in Loveland

Denver Pirates 24 No.Colo Wolfpack 0

The Denver Pirates traveled to Loveland Saturday to play a tough No Co.Wolfpack team. The Pirates Offense would score quickly in the first quarter, Marcus Brogan scoring on a TD run and Adis Sarac adding 3 more on a 30 yard field goal making it 10-0. Second quarter Safety Steve Heit intercepts a pass and takes it all the way to the wolfpack 10 yrd line. Then Romail Gordon throws a nice TD pass to the Corner of the end zone making it 17-0 at halftime. The Pirate Defense comes out strong holding the Wolfpack on several drives with the front line making several sacks and with Jason Hoerner intercepting a pass in the 4th quarter. The wolfpack defense held thier own also in the second half. The Wolfpack had 3 interceptions and a crucial fumble on the one yard line that kept the Pirates from scoring again. With less then two minutes of the game the Pirates score again with a long run making the game 24-0

good job Pirates

May 8, 2011 - Pirates win big in home opener

The Denver Pirates go back to our old stadium and come out with a victory. The Pirates win 42-0 over the Broomfield Dawgs. if you remember last year this game went into overtime and the pirates sneaked out a win by only one TD. this year it was different, The Offense came out hitting on all cylinders scoring 21 point in the first half and then another 21 points in the second half. the highlights on offense was watching our running backs, second year running back Marcus Brogan was hitting the holes hard and gaining over 90 yards and a TD and Sy Patterson also ran for over 100 yards and a TD. Romail Gordon and Mark Shaffer both throwing nice TD passes also. Rookie Colton Schrader also comes down with a nice TD catch in the 4th quarter for his first of the season. As for our defense, our Dline was relentless. Sacking the Dawgs QB over 10 times. Weldon Guillory, Mark Attebury, Malcolm Riley, Rick Estrada, and Sidney Hays and others pressured their offense all night. The secondary was also holding its own with a interception by Kris Canterbury and a few huge hits on recievers by Steve Heit. Jimmy Provost and Jason Drecketts wasnt allowing much on the running game either as the whole Defense was being stingy. besides giving large amounts of yardage on penalties the Pirates defense held their own and also shutting out their second team this year.
