Dear Valued Supporter: For many years, the Sequoyah Quarterback Club has enhanced the Eagle Football program by providing goods and services that may not otherwise be available due to budgetary constraints. With your support, we will be able to continue to provide these extras that are so necessary to afford our young men the opportunity to compete. We are asking local businesses to help support the Eagles by becoming a Hole Sponsor in the Quarterback Club’s upcoming golf tournament. The cost for sponsorship is $100. Your company’s sign will be placed at a designated hole at the Pryor Creek Golf Course during our 9th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 2nd, 2012. We would also like to encourage all avid golfers to participate in the tournament. As you can see on the enclosed entry form, you can win great prizes and we’ll serve lunch immediately following the tournament. Shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. It promises to be a fun day, all while supporting our Eagles. Please make checks payable to the Sequoyah Quarterback Club and return by Friday May 23rd, 2012. News Article - Why join the Quarterback club? - Oct 7, 2010 The Quarterback club is an entity apart from the school system. Membership is $35 per family. That membership fee goes to support activities and the purchase of equipment for the Sequoyah Football teams that the school otherwise would not be able to purchase. The Quarterback club feeds the players of the Varsity squad every thursday evening before a game, after playoff games, junior high teams are fed before their departure to away games, provide 'end of season' gifts to Senior football players/trainers, and provides the end of season banquet. Every year the coaches present a 'wish list' to the club of equipment they would like to have. The Quarterback club has purchased equipment such as: name tags for the lockers, goal boards for the locker room, weight belts for the weight room, an end-zone camera, and much more. As you can tell, the $35 membership fee does not cover all the activites that the Quarterback club provides. Members help with various fundraisers that are authorized by the school throughout the year such as the Annual Golf tournament, Annual Car show, and manning of the concession stand during games. We also organize the purchase and sale of 'SPIRIT ITEMS' and coordinate that with the school administrators as required. The Quarterback club is often asked, "What do I get in return for my membership in the Quarterback club?" The QB club provides accurate, up to the minute information about anything dealing with the football program via mass text messaging and email. This assists the Coaches in getting information out without having to rely on word of mouth. We invite you to come join the Quarterback club. Stay informed with ACCURATE, TIMELY information and help us continue to provide vital services to the Coaches, School and Players!!! Membership forms are available at the concession stand.
