Ewhurst United

Well what a good win. 3-1 to the mighty Ewhurst. We were great today we battled hard and kept our heads, which helped us to victory against the side top of the league.  The only points they have dropped all season.

The game started well with us pressing the ball straight from the kick off, and we created a couple of good chances.  Then against the run of play we conceded on their first attack.  But we didnt give up and kept the presure on, and we got our break with good play From Tom C and a good finish to match. We kept plugging away and scored the second as they started giving fouls arround the box, it came from a good delivery from Tom B which the keeper missed and it sailed straight in to the goal. At half time we knew we had a good chance of seeing them off in the second half if we kept up the way we were playing. So in the second half we did just that. And eventually we were rewarded with a third goal from Tom Mc . All performed so well today that i have decided against a man of the match. You all deserve it.

A good point away from home. We played really well at times to be in a 3 -1 lead at half time, it could of, and probably should have been 5 at that point. We looked a good side with the best performance from Lewis this season being dominant at the back for long periods of the game. 

Second half we were under presure for most of the half as they came back at us. But we looked a constant threat on the break and should have nicked one more goal but the half ended 3-3.

One thing i will say is away from home, to the top of the league, played some good football ! Bloody well done Lads!

A really good win for us today goals from Tom Mc, Tom C, Charlie V, Christie. We worked really hard today and took our chances which is really pleasing. The work rate today was excellentand is the minimum every week

so well done . You all played with great composure and you dominace showed so thankyou, i really enjoyed it.

First half .... now that is the way to start a game full of energy, defended properly and created chances and took 2 of them. In fact if we had been more clinical it should have been 6! but it was a good first half.

Second half we started sloppy didnt get goal side and were taking decisions that put ourselvs under pressure. But we battled on and put in the effort, which got us the result. More of the first half please lads!

Man of the match Tom B, just a head of Miles and Christie. Everyone played well today be happy about it and we now expect that as your minimum effort every game, any less is not enough!
