Falcons Win!

The Florida Falcons would like to thank their loyal fans who stayed during the 4 hour game delay. The home games will be at 3pm and the Referees will be there on time the remainder of the season.

After waiting 4 hours to start the game the Falcons came out flat which was to be expected. Neither the Defense nor Offense could get it together in the first quarter going scoreless. The second quarter showed some promise when the offense was finally able to move the ball and keep the defense off the field. A couple of big first down runs by FB Ed Valentine and William Kendrick kept the offensive drives moving, finally getting the offense into the red zone. Falcons RB Bobby Mack put the Falcons on the board first with a 7 yard touchdown run and the extra point was added by K Mason Peace to put the Falcons up 7-0 in the second quarter. They would go in at the half up 7-0.

The second half looked promising when RB/KR Marcus Pulliam behind some devistating blocking took the opening kickoff a unofficial 80 yards for a touchdown with the Extra point by Mason Peace to put the Falcons up 14-0. On the pursuing kickoff it seemed the Falcons recovered the onside kick, but the Refs ruled that they were offsides and had to kick again pinning the Vikings deep into their own teritory. The Defense started to click led by Big Pat Mcwhite and Tim Brooks amoung the leaders of the "Dirty Bird" defense who gave the offense chances to put points on the board the rest of the night. The offense struggled the rest of the night with a few bright spots here and there but failed to score. The defense held their ground and the offense ran out the clock to give the now 2-1 Falcons the Victory 14-0.

The Florida Falcons will travel down to Ft. Myers this weekend to take on the 1-2 Spartans. Game time is 7pm. Stats and info on travel this weekend to follow. Once again thank you to the loyal Falcon Fans who stayed and cheered us on to Victor all day long..
