Falcons Fly OnApr. 7, 2008 The first year FFA team the Florida Falcons continues soaring to new heights. With their 21-14 win over the West Coast Bears in last night's round 1 playoff game, the Falcons now move onto round 2 in the playoffs, the AFC Championship, next week in Tampa. The Bears started off the game with a touchdown but the Falcons quickly took control and rambled off 21 unanswered points making the score 21-6 by half-time. Daniel Cooper scored 2 receiving touchdowns, Matt Hernandez scored a touchdown on an interception, and kicker Mason Peace kicked a 40-yard field goal. Late in the 4th quarter, with 33 seconds left in the game, safety Percy Brown dislodged the ball from a Bears tightend and linebacker William Kendrick scooped up the fumble and sealed control and the win for the Falcons. The Falcons are set to take on the Bradenton Gladiators with the hopes of securing a spot in the first ever FFA Alliance Bowl to be held on May 3, at the Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach.
