New Era Has BegunOct. 15, 2007 A new era in Clay County has officially begun. The Florida Falcons minor league football team held their first official practice at OPAA tonight, and with a turnout of 56 players the Falcons are definitely going to take the FFA by storm. The energy in the air was felt not only by the players but by the fans in the community who came out to watch the inaugural practice. "I'm ecstatic about the turnout of both players and fans. There is a buzz in the air, and everyone is excited about minor league football coming to Clay County. The depth at each position is unreal, and the talent on the field, both coaches and players, is outstanding," said head coach Justin Moses. There were many standout players on both sides of the ball...too numerous to mention, but newcomers Ed Valentine (FB) and Jarrel Jenkens (DB) impressed the coaching staff tremendously. As always, the public is welcome to come out and watch.
