Colton Henry, a sophomore, had his debut on the mound for the Gators against the 5A Fort Walton Beach Vikings last night. Colton pitched three innings striking out two and walking one. He had three earned runs scored against him. Christian Mainer took the mound in the fourth. Christian, a freshman, had a lone homerun hit against him and then he shut down the rest of the Vikings at the plate. Mainor struggled his second inning of work allowing three earned runs. Jeremy Lynch came in the game in the fifth striking out two in his one and two-thirds innings.

Offensively Preston Nixon led the Gators with three RBI, while Colton Henry had two hits and scored a run. Josh Yost and Brandon Henderson scored the other runs for Baker in the loss.

Baker (4-9) will travel to Crestview to face Milton today.
