PLAY HARD, PLAY SMART, HAVE FUN Welcome, to the Good As Gold Basketball Program. We are created on the principle of teaching girls to become more proficient in the game of basketball and life. Our girls come from the many TPS and charter schools throughout the city of Toledo.
Women’s and girl’s basketball has become a highly recognized sport over the years. This program teaches girls basketball fundamentals, as well as develop interpersonal, professional, and motivational skills that they can apply throughout life. The girls will become familiar with competitive, organized basketball through their participation.
We promote academic achievement along with athletic achievement. Our greatest joy is to see our girls perform successfully in the classroom. We care more about a 3.0 GPA than a 20-point per game scoring average. We recognize our girls when they do well in their various activities- social, academic, and athletic.
