What a great turn out we had Sunday night.  Based off what folks signed up for, we will have three 10U's, a 11U, a 12U, at least one 14U and one 15U team.  We are even continuing to take a few more registrations this week for folks that couldn't make it last Sunday.  Those folks have until this Friday.

The last day for the GSBA Spring Training.  We hope the camp went well for your player(s).  Sunday's topic is pitching and catching.  The Camp Staff will work with players on technique for both.  Even if your player didn't pitch or catch last season, its important to at least understand the basics of the position.  For catchers that have their own gear, bring it.  We will have the GSBA gear, too.  Pitchers, you can bring your own gear, too

Kyle Poock from Winona State and Nick Winecke from St. Mary's will be addressing the players at 2pm!

Tomorrow's focus will be on throwing and fielding.  You will only need your gloves (1st baseman's - bring your mitt just in case).

The 14's and 15's will go at 12:30pm.

Everyone wear your new shirt and a ball cap.  We will try to take a camp picture for the paper!

Update - we are looking to form a 15 year old team this year...one that would play state tournament qualifiers just like 14, 12 and 10-Unders.  It would play league games in the Twilight League under a 16U "banner", but play MN tournaments as a 15U team.

Parents,

For 2010, we are asking all 16U players to register in March, even if trying out for the Buddies.  Waiting for the May Buddies tryouts is too late to schedule games and tournaments for this level.  Historically, we have had two teams (Red and Gray).  For 2010 planning purposes, we are expecting players to register with the GSBA program on March 7th.  If certain players make the Buddies, we can adjust accordingly.
