2013 Board Planning - Reminder

The End of Year Board Meeting is scheduled for August 26th at 3pm at Green Mill.  Ask Hostess where the Goodview group is at.

Reminder:  The executive Board positions are elected, but that doesn't mean you can't be an at-large member.

Team,

Its that time of year to start thinking about (to yourself) "how I can help make this organization succesful in 2013".   Board positions will need to be filled in September.  There is an annual "retreat" in August to talk about the previous season and to start planning the next season, so that is the best time to learn about what to do.

This organization has been growing the past five years, from 86 players in 2008 to 142 in 2011, and over 130 this year.  During that time-frame, the Board and its volunteers have not increased.  Positions to consider (* means NOT filled in 2012 due to lack of volunteer):

President (be the face of the program, lead the crew into battle so to speak)

Vice-President (right-hand, helps get things done)

Secretary (file registrations, birth certs, meeting notes, letters, etc)

Treasurer (Blaine is an awesome Teacher!  'Nuff said!)

Pancake Breakfast Coordinator (Lisa and Anita have made this a very functional team)

*Uniform Coordinator (can be as easy or as hard as you want to make it)

*Umpire Coordinator (work with umpires in the area to schedule games)

Concession Stand Coordinator (Christy is willing to train!)

*Parent Rep Coordinator (lead the team of parent reps)

8U Program Coordinator (be the conduit between teams and organization)

*Fundraisng Coordinator (lead a team of people to help bring donations in)

Equipment Coordinator (I will train!)

*Field Maintenance Coordinator (work with the City, they do 90% of the work)

*Tryout Coordinator (Coaches run, but someone has to handle the logistics)

Tournament Coordinator (schedule tournaments in December/January, and in April for local ones)

The more people that help, the better the end product and more importantly the less time everyone has to spend on it.  Look for the letter to be handed out at home games during the month.
