Grace College Lancers Men's Basketball

It has recently been announced that Coach Jim Kessler will take his Lancers to play an exhibition contest at N.C.A.A. Division 1 Indiana University on November 4th, 2009, at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana. The contest was brokered largely in part to the friendship between Grace's athletic director, Chad Briscoe, and Indiana's top assistant coach Tim Buckley. Briscoe was a member of Buckley's staff at Ball State University in the mid-2000's.

Former Lancer point guard Austin Kaiser has decided to transfer to Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and in the process will reunite with former Lancer assistant coach Matt Moore, who will begin his first season at M.V.N.U. this coming fall. Moore has released the following quote in regards to Kaiser signing. "We look forward to the addition of Austin and are excited for both him and our basketball program." Kaiser is the son of Jay and Tonda, and has a brother Wes, to go alongside two sisters, Kelsey and Kara.

Congratulations to incoming Lancer Jordan Hoffman for placing 3rd at state in the discus!

Now Jordan is officially finished with high school sporting duties, and we're pumped that he will be coming to Grace!

Congrats to everyone who competed at the state finals today! It's always neat to look at the sheets and see who all competed! Track and field is a sport that requires a ton of dedication, and so even the guys that came in last results-wise today didn't really come in last, they're all champions, and are among the best in the state!

Jordan is a state champ in our hearts here at Grace, and he's a great guy who has made us all proud!

All of us around Lancer Basketball are super pumped that one of our very own signees, Jordan Hoffman, is competing in the discus at the I.H.S.A.A. State Track meet on Friday in Bloomington. The I.H.S.A.A. website states that the discus competition will get started at 3:00 p.m. Below, you'll find the heat sheet for the discus. It looks like Jordan is seeded fourth, but we're hoping that you can "Banke" on it that Jordan will be seeded #1 when all is said and done! GO JORDAN, we love ya bro, and we're looking forward to seeing how you do on the big stage in B'town! :-) As soon as the results are posted online, they will be posted here!

Incoming Lancer basketball player/discus thrower Jordan Hoffman of Northridge is going to be throwing the discus at the Indiana High School Athletic Association state track meet in Indianapolis this weekend. He finished second at regionals and met the qualifying standard. Best wishes to Jordan as he finishes his last high school exams, graduates, and gets to go down to Indy and represent Northridge, the Northern Lakes Conference, and Grace at state! Once the results are known, they will be posted on this site.
