Homecoming to be October 5 vs. Bruceville-Eddy

With the official schedule release came the announcement of Homecoming week. The past four years, Riesel's Homecoming game has usually been around mid to late September. However, with an eight-team district and a Week 3 BYE, (compared to the usual Week 4) the Indians will play their Homecoming game October 5 against Bruceville-Eddy.

Also contributing to the later date, Riesel's Week 2 and Week 4 games are both on the road. (September 14 at Mart; September 28 at Moody)

It will be Riesel's fortieth meeting with Bruceville-Eddy, the first since 2005. The winner of October 5th's meeting will take a lead in the series. A series in which both teams have 19 wins plus a tie in 1964.

The Eagles of Bruceville-Eddy, an all-time sub-.400 team, are coming off a 3-7 2011, opposite to Riesel's 7-3 regular season.
