B Team Scares MASCO

The B Team played its best game of the year on Sunday, holding MASCO to 70 yards total offense, and generally outplaying them. The Tigers played nearly the whole game in their half of the field, but held strong on defense, stopping the Chieftans at the 20, 12 and 6 yard lines throughout the game. The Ipswich Offense executed a combination of the Doublewing, WildCat and a tricky spread play to the tune of 130 yards total offense. Unfortunately the Tigers weren't able to put the ball in the endzone.

QB Charlie Galanis had a big day on offense, rushing for 40 yards and passing for another 50. Jarred Cutlip also carried the ball well, and Robbie Glavin (2), Chris Remy, Charlie Robitaille all had receptions.

The story of the day, though, was the stout defense that the Tigers showed. Corey Elliot, Ralph Francesconi, and Ben Prescott all had multiple tackles in the backfield for losses. Jarred Cutlip, Colton Davis and Charlie Galanis had several solo tackles from their LB/DB spots. Ryan White, playing Free Safety had an interception.

The Tigers are looking to build on this game and get the win at North Andover next Saturday.
