Gillis Goes WildNov. 2, 2009 Lead by Charlie Gillis' 3 touchdown performance, the JVC Black Team lost to Marblehead 28 to 18 on Halloween. The Tigers put a scare into Marblehead as they refused to give up with some ghoulish plays on offense and frightening ones on defense. Gillis was a terror, carrying the ball like a galloping ghost with three touchdown runs of 72, 54 and 41 yards. Jack "The Vampire" Homans, Andrew "The Zombie" Freemont-Smith and Charlie "The Ghost" Gillis played every play of the game as the Tigers were a bit shorthanded. Peyton "The Werewolf" Fitzgerald and Griffin "The Skeleton" Wilson made a number of tackles on defense and Tim "The Mummy" Miller blocked very well. Ipswich ends its season at home against Danvers on Saturday at Town Hall Field.
