2012 Jefferson Forest Soccer
12/28/11: Preseason conditioning will resume on Friday, December 30 from 5:00 to 7:30pm. Remember that you must wear shinguards to play indoor soccer!
2011-12 Preseason Conditioning will be held Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays starting Monday, November 28 through late February when tryouts are held. Conditioning will involve weight training, cardio, plyometrics and futsal soccer. It is open to any high school soccer player who is planning on trying out for the team. Although 9th and 10th graders are welcome to attend, our emphasis will be on developing players for the varsity team. Accordingly, any younger players should be able to compete with the older, bigger, stronger upperclassmen. To avoid injury to developing joints, please be sure your son has hit their growth spurt before participating in a weight training program.
All participants must have completed and turned in a 2011-12 VHSL Physical Form, Forms can be found at www.vhsl.org or can be picked up in the high school main office. Forms used for sports played during last school year are NOT valid! If you turned in a VHSL form for another JF sport this school year (2011 cross country, wrestling, etc) you will NOT need to turn in another copy as long as the Athletic Secretary, Kathy Glover, has it on file.
