The girls played smart soccer today with great passing and effort in a 5-2 victory over the SBA Heat in the 2nd to last league game. Their strong play today allowed us to move defenders who wanted to try striker into that position, and to move other players around too. The team stuck to the game theme and worked hard.... and with only 1 sub - well done!

Our girls played hard today and focused on 1 or more of the 3 points we talked about (speed, aggressiveness and smart play) - well done. It was a challenging game today for the girls against a team that was very energized and really wanted the ball more than our girls. The girls, played awesome today. With no subs, injured players and against a really good team....they all played great. Their passing was incredible, there was lots of effort to be first to the ball, several great shots, and they outplayed Semi big time. Even though the girls didn't win, they can be proud of their super efforts today!!

The Thunder bounced back from a tough loss the week before to easily beat the SUS Thunder 4-1. All girls played well and had several scoring chances. It was cool to see Ashleah, the keeper, assist on Nicole's break-away goal. In a game which saw the Thunder again outplay their opponents in most aspects of the game, the Thunder the game lost 1-0. The team passed well, had shots, but couldn't finish several chances in front of the net. The Thunder played a friendly against the Langley U13 Silver rep team which has many of their friends playing on it. The Thunder practiced their passing and possession while the Reds practiced their aggressive play and defensive tactics.
