News Article - Match Report - Jun 19, 2009 BRISTOL MORRISONS 0 VS 1 COTHAM CITY
The constant lack of shooting is proving to be our down fall in recent weeks and it continued against Cotham.A game in which we attacked with real composure and great understanding between each other , but for some reason failed to pull the trigger at the right time. The first in many weeks we had a full squad to field and it proved on our day together we can really cause some problems for the opposistion.Mike was kept busy in the first half and made some vital saves, the goal conceeded was a bit soft for my liking although hit well and from distance the keeper should have at least got a finger to it.The fact he ddint have nuch to do in the second half reall showed hw much pressure we applied but to no affect.Dax baker has been quilty in recent weeks of not taking his chances in front of goal , and again played stright through into the keeper withinin the fisrt five minutes , he did how ever give an energetic display upfront and did well linking up with his team mates and forcing the opposistion to play in there own half.Cookie is geting back to his early season form was simply our most offencive player throughout the match, orcing the keeper into a great save and just skimming past the post in the second half denied him of a deserved goal.Ryan Thompson has much improved over the past three weeks and did well in his possisiton, was unfortunate to be subbed twice by the gaffa because he didnt deserve to be. Biscuit did well on thr right and made them work for the ball still needs to shout more when hegets in the right areas.Phill anderson started on bench and came on in an unfamliar role of midfield and did a good job spraying he ball well wide and centrally got dragged back into defence more often thopugh due to the energetic Tim Newton who produced a typical newton display passion and th sense of piss off its my ball kind of attitude.
MIKE-DID WELL AGAIN THIS WEEK , SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER FOR THE GOAL THOUGH - 7/1O TIM-WAS BRILLIANT IN ALL THE RHT AREAS HOW HE KEEPS RUNNING I DONT KNOW-10/10 PHILL-DID WELL AND MADE SOME GOOD PASSES FROM MIDFILD MAYBE AN OPOSTION TO CHANGE THE FORMATION I FUTURE WEEKS NOW 7/10 BISCUIT-DOES HIS JOB GOD BUT STILL NEEDS TO CALL FOR HELP AND TO SHOUT FOR THE BALL MORE 6/10 COOKIE-GETIING BACK TO HIS TOTTENHAM BEST WAS UNFORTUNATE NOT TO SCORE THIS WEEK BUT THERE ARE SIGNS IT WONT BE LONG BEFORE HE NETS AGAIN 8/10 RYAN-MY APPLOGIES FOR SUBBING HIM TWICE HAS REALLY BEEN IN GOOD FORM OF LATE AND PLAYED A SLOID GAME 8/10 DAX-IS PLAYINGLIKE CARLOS TEVEZ BUT WITHOUT THE GOALS RIGHT NOW, MUS TAKE HIS CHANCES MORE OFTEN, THE EARLY SEASON FORM HAS LOST HIM RIGHT NOW 6/10

New Photo Gallery - - Jun 12, 2009 News Article - Match Report - Jun 5, 2009 BRISTOL MORISONS 0 VS 2 COTHAM CITY Almost a full strentgh squad with just the absence of biscuit this week, but still we lacked composure and quality in the final third. This was a must win game and points we needed badley if we are not to finish in the bottom three.Cotham have been unavailble in recent weeks and turned up with a make-shift squad yet they were still capable of taking all two points from us.We had enough chances to get something out of this game, Ryan thompson put in a decent display but should have taken his chances when he had them, Adam cook was back after a three game absenece and looked out of place upfront making some odd decisons to drift wide and very shot shy.Dax baker was a always energetic and moving well but still wont take his oportunitys.Tim and Phill gave a solid display against a very pacey front line.Mike had one of his best games in goal and made countless saves to keep the score down. The first goal was conceeded via a contraversial free kick award , but put away with ease by the opposistion. The second goal came late on really and was put away in the bottom corner . News Article - Match Report - May 29, 2009 BRISTOL MORRISONS 0 VS 2 WOLSLEY ROVERS Again for the fourth week running we missed crucial players in centre areas of the pitch. We played a decent game and could have come away with something had it not been for our shy attemps in front of goal. The opposition created about four we had about five or six to take a shot at goal and we didnt take one.A much better man of match performance from Ryan this week , he made good ground to get back was livley in the front line , but still could have done better to score.Dax baker had a game to forget easily had about four chances to either shoot or take the last man on instead he opted to wait to long to make his move and was easily dispossed.Phill and Tim were kept busy throughout both halfs and did a good job , Mike made three saves during the game but was helpless for the second goal but still could have done better for the first. In all this wasa typical of our season waisting games we could have had , there was no sense of time on the ball, no urge to attack the last man and just gave the game gift wrap and sealed. We are strongly missing Cookie and Biscuit , there return is this week . With a full squad to choose from we must take all the points . MAN OF MATCH - RYAN Line up vs Cotham City 5/6/09 GK-MIKE D-PHILL DM-BISCUIT LM-TIM RM-RYAN STK-COOKIE SUB-DAX MIKE-Pulled off some good saves could have done better with the first goal PHILL-Was his usall defensive self working hard and getting better verbally TIM-Always gives 100% and did so again this week , is starting to feellike the past is catching up with him DAX-By far one of his worst games going forward , still to focused on organising the team rather than were he is positionally, had more than a few chances to give us something RYAN-In recent weeks he has been poor and didnt look up to the fight , but his efforts and drive was much improved and derserved his man of match.
News Article - Match Report - May 15, 2009 BRISTOL MORRISONS 0 VS 4 1883AFC Going into the game with only five aviable players was not a good start for any team.Up against a side who we have not lost too yet this season, we went into the game looking for the counter attack option playing with two at the back one in midfiled and one upfront.During the first half everything was going to plain , the constant threat from 1883 was seized upon at every opportunity with Tim and Phill strong at the back.Dax baker provided much cover from midfiled and worked hard throughout.A couple of good saves from Mike kept them at bay to go 0-0 into the second half. The extra man really was the final cut i this game , we got tired very early on due to the constant drilling in the first half.Dax was still moving making some excellent runs with the ball but creating nothing in the final third due to the lack of support. The goals conceeded were purley down to lack of fitness , at most stages of he second half they always had a man over us in every area it seemed. We now slip down to 6thplace due to some double pointer games and other teams not turning up again so goin into next week match against Selecao we must get something. News Article - Match Report - May 8, 2009 BRISTOL MORRISONS 2 VS 1 ST PAULS ALLSTARS A great game to get back to winning ways and take us 3rd only two poins behind Cotham City.We took the lead in fantastic style opening the scoring inside the first three minutes, some neat footwork from Dax layed a dcent ball into the path of Tim newton who finshed low into the corner a great goal to score your first of he season a few more of them woud be great mate.St pauls had much improved from our previous encounters and drew level just before half time with a well placed shot from the outside of the boot.Mike produced a few goods saves in the first half to keep the game level. The ever impressive Tim newton was a formidable force playing a cat and mouse chase with there front man and winning everytime.Dax baker is now five weeks without a goal but his performance is still worth a starting place each week , after provinding the first assist for Tim he kept his head and used some intelligence when we were awarded a free kick two minutes from time , with the oposistion debating the desicion Dax placed the ball down for Cookie to slot into the gap and take the two points. With the absent Phill Anderson we looked less beefy at the back the two man wall of Tim and Phill is a strong part of our formation but take nothing away from Tim he was old school and back to his best. LINE-UP VS 1883AFC GK-MIKE D-PHILL D-TIM M-COOKIE M-BISCUIT STK-DAX SUB-RYAN Mike-Could do nothing about the goal , made a few good saves when called upon a much better performance compared to last week Tim-Old school timmy newton , strong hard in the tackle, was up against a good front man and did well.Got his goal and deserved it even more as the game progressed Ryan-Was slow to pick up his man, had three shots in the air and is still straying wide Biscuit-Had a decent game in places but just lacked his final pass this time round , still needs to understand he has more time on the ball than he thinks Cookie-By his standards not one of his best games got the winner but looked sluggish in his passing and finishing Dax-Still no goal but two assists and the want for trying never went away Phill-washing his hair

News Article - Match Report - May 1, 2009 BRISTOL 0 VS 5 FORGONE CONCLUSION What a slap in the face , up against the best opposistion we have faced this season .They came into the game with a fresh new side from the team we beat 2-0 in a friendly the week before, the result says it all really we looked slow on and of the ball , we struggled to organise our selves in attack and in defence. All what we had learnt as a team just went out the window. We consistantly ball watched and at times had three men chasing the one ball .Three of the goals are soley down to Mike who was beaten by his near post for the first , then came flapping for a cross and missed the ball only for the striker to head it in , the third was tame and trough his legs shocking. There isnt much more i want to add really , this was a lesson which we need to learn from. GK-Mike=Had his worse display of the season by far was all over the place D-Phill=Got caught ball watching to many times and was easily drawn out of posistion LM-Tim=Looked tired and just not himself CM-Cooke=For some reason struggled to take his chances when he had them RM-Ryan=At times i didnt even know he was there just looked out of place today STK-Dax=Spent far too much time organising the tam rather than the play SUB-Biscut=Was by far our better player on the day , he looked like he wanted the challenge and sprayed some good passes LINE UP VS ALL STARS 8/4/09 GK-Mike D-Phill LM-Cookie CM-Biscuit RM-Tim STK-Dax SUB-Ryan
