As the rain held up, we had GREATweather for the 2nd Annual Never Surrender 5K Walk/Run. As over 200 participants traveled from across the state of Texas to include participants from New York, Florida and Arizona; we all helped in the effort to Never Surrender to Cancer. We want to thank all those who participated, all our sponsors (please visit our sponsor site and visit these wonderful business and tell them thank-you), Chief of Police Ray Riggs, Deputy Dewayne Shaw, Volunteer Fire Fighter Jesse Hunt, Mike Thomas State Farm & Staff for providing water to our participants and Hoffpauir employees for providing the use of the ATVs to assist people in finishing the race. I also want to thank TDCJ-ID employees, Christopher Daniels & his son Cutter, Frankie Sanchez and Kimberly Danford for handing out water. We had businesses who helped fill our bags to our first 50 paid participants so a big thanks to Commercial National Bank, First Central Credit Union, Harry's Department Store, Sonic Drive-In, Central Texas Telephone Cooperative, West Central Wireless, Crazy Cowgirl, Brew D House Restaurant & Pub and G&R Grocery. Thanks to all you in helping make this year's event such a great success! Hope to see you all again next year...

Medal for top three overall runners. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will also be awarded

to the following age groups:

10 & under,11-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.
