WINNERS Motown Cup Tournament!

WAY TO GO BOYS!!!!  

On the weekend of November 25 to 27, 2011, the Major Bantam Seeded Oakridge Aeros went undefeated at the Motown Cup, winning five straight games with a close 2-1 win over Aurora in the final.  All players played well for the full 3 days and they were also able to enjoy "Saturday night at the Joe", watching the Detroit Red Wings defeat the Predators.  It was a fun weekend for the players and their families.

 The two ice times this week will be used to get us back into the swing of things with our new squad.  BRING WATER BOTTLES !

 Wed. Sept.7/11, 7:00 to 9:30pm at Medway

 Tonight will be a regular practice starting at 7:00pm at Medway.  Please be sure the players are there by 6:30, so they are ready to listen to a bit of pre-ice discussion at 6:50.

After practice for about ten minutes I will talk to the players in the dressing room about the general plan for the year (same info as parent meeting generally).

 Thurs. Sept 8/11, 8:30 to 10:00pm at Medway – TPH skating, passing and shooting skills

Thursday night Dennis Dawe and I will be running a parent’s meeting starting at 8:00pm while the players are getting ready for practice.

We will lay out the general plan for the year and will be asking for volunteers to provide support in a number of areas.

 I am looking forward to getting to know the players, coaches and parents and working together for a successful season.
