Midfielder Chad Szczublewski Jr. led the scoring for the Colonels in the win with three goals, and Carson Axtell chipped in two of his own. The pair have been especially hot in the last five games with Szczublewski Jr. scoring 15 goals and Axtell adding 10. Goalie Austin Frerman made 15 saves against the Warriors and has made 48 saves in the past five games. The Colonels complete their third season as a program with a very young and inexperienced team, seeing three seniors, five juniors, six sophomores and a pair of freshman play a majority of available minutes. That said, the program is looking forward to next season, coach Chad Szczublewski said, as they’ll bring much more experience to the field. -Submitted info Mar 17, 2013 - First Game of the Season Oldham Lacrosse played their first game of the season against South Oldham Dragons last Friday night. Varsity came prepared to play and the 3-14 loss was a learning experience that will motivate the players in upcoming games. Scoring for Varsity Chad Szczublewski, Dakota Baze and Nathan Atkin. Carson Axtell had 2 assists. A special thanks to those who stayed to support our JV as they achieved their first win of the season 10-5. Allan Farrow led the team with 3 goals.
