Here's a page dedicated to our polo horses. We have a total of 20 horses to date! Every one of them has been graciously donated to our team to promote the growth of Stillwater's only Polo team.
Our horses were donated to the club by various supportive polo enthusiasts, and have the necessary skills for our more experienced players while providing a safe foundation for our beginners.
As you well know, the one aspect that makes the sport of polo unique from others is the addition of four legs beneath your own and the 1,000 lb. body that serves as your teammate. The polo pony is chosen for its stamina, endurance, its ability to carry weight at high speeds, and its agility. Because of the wide range of talents the pony must possess, full or 3/4 bred thoroughbreds ranging from 14.0 to 16.0 hands are most commonly used.
