Head Coach and Players committed

Apr. 28, 2009

The Ramblers would like to announce the addition of multiple players and a head coach to 2010 season!

Tony Hernandez has committed to leading the Ramblers in 2010 and beyond.  Coach Hernandez played his college ball at Baylor and was signed to a contract with the CFL before having to pull out for personal reasons.  He coached the Houston Gunslingers for a couple years before moving to San Antonio.  In 2001 he took over head coaching duties for the Mad Dogs.  For the first 4 seasons they played in the conference championship and played in the league championship two of those seasons.  He led the Mad Dogs to the playoffs in 2005 in their final season.

Alan Caudell II is the team rep for the league and a running back and defensive end.  He played on the 2002 Judson State Championship team and played a season at Sul Ross State University.  He was the starting center for the 2004 Mad Dogs team that played in the championship and the starting running back for the 2005 playoff team.  He played for the Gladiators and Hurricanes in 06 and 07 respectively and was elected to the All-Star game each season.  Was a member of the 08 and 09 Wolverines teams.  Also played for the San Antonio Riders of the TUFL during the 2006 season and was selected defensive MVP of the team and to the TUFL South All-Stars.

Aaron Caudell will be entering his 3rd season in the TSFA and looking to build on his streak of All-star games.  He has been selected as a Southern Conference All-star in each of his two seasons.  He graduated from Judson in 2006, played in the 2005 state game and was a All-City and All-State selection.  After attending both TLU and Cisco JC and attempting to play ball before reinjuring his shoulder he came an joined the TSFA and the Wolverines dominating defenseive ends from his center position.

Lydell Bradshaw is the most experienced sixman player on the team.  He has been in the league since its inception in 1999 and was voted to the All-TSFA team in each of his first 2 seasons.  In each of those seasons with the Wolf Pack he was part of the championship winning team.  Lydell joined the Wolverines soon after and had been a running back with them ever since.

Shun Compton will be also in his 3rd season in the TSFA.  He struggled at times getting back used to playing corner at a high level during his first two seasons.  He has managed to get a couple INTs and has laid plenty of wood to opponents to make sure they know him.

Jaz Hernandez is a young, promising player that has committed to the Ramblers.  His father played with Alan and for Coach Hernandez in 2005 and his son is no slouch.  He had 4 picks in 2008 and was selected in the All-Star game where he scored a special teams point off a blocked field goal.  Jaz didn't slouch in 2009 as he also had multiple INTs and stepped up as the teams QB in Week 8 and had great success in doing so.

Juice Hill will be entering his second season after playing safety and wide receiver for the Wolverines in 09.  He made some plays on both sides of the ball, but will be bringing mostly his defensive skills to the table for the Ramblers.  He had an INT and multiple decleaters in his rookie season and looks to build on this for the Ramblers.

Chad Thompson is the final 3rd year player coming over from the Wolverines.  Chad is a great defensive end that lays the wood to anyone coming to his side.  Chad had multiple sacks and QB hurries during his first two years even with missing a couple games this season due to injury.  He also stepped up as the starting kicker for the Wolverines for the past 2 seasons, showing a good consistent leg, booting the ball out of the end zone.
