The Regina Rifles defeated the visiting Moose Jaw Mustangs 12-5 in PGLL action Thursday. The Rifles stingy defence only allowed 2 even strength goals over 60 minutes. Cody Braddock recorded the win in net for the Rifles. Logan McMurtry, Taylor Frei ,Tristan Frei and Taylor Mayer tallied for 2 goals each.  Adding singles were Blake Schindel, Brock Schindel, Leighton Goebel and Colton Crone. Rifles next home action is Saturday May 25th at 7:00pm when the host the Saskatoon Smash at the Cooperators Center.

The Regina Rifles shutdown the visiting Estevan Big Dogs by a score of 33-7 in the 2013 season home opener. Logan McMurtry (4 goals) and Tristan Frei (8 goals) led the Rifles with 12 points each. Taylor Frei and Mason Belanger chipped in 5 goals each. Rifles other scorers were Jesse Duncan (3), Brock Schindel (2), Spencer Watson (2), Josh Schwindt (1), Blake Schindel (1), Leighton Goebel (1) and Taylor Mayer (1). Cody Braddock and Teddy Yuzicappi split the win in net, Next league action is May 16 at 8:30pm at the Cooperators when the Rifles take on the visiting Moose Jaw Mustangs.

The 2013 edition of the Regina Rifles has been preparing the past two weeks for their home opener Friday May 3 at the Cooperators Centre when they take on the visiting Estevan Big Dogs. Game starts 8:00pm.
