For Love of the Game It’s hard to believe that the season is about to start but if you are like me, that’s an exciting thought. SHS Baseball 2010 should be fun to watch. We have a very good group of young men who work well together and push each other to get better. At the Varsity level, we have 2 scrimmages and at least 19 games before the start of League play. Included in these games is an out of the area Tournament for which I’m extremely grateful to Melissa Ireland and Dr. Gardner for allowing. Our JV squad will have 2 scrimmages and at least 14 games before League and we are in the process of trying to add 3 more games. I believe the increased game time before League will make us more competitive. As a program, we have set as our goal to reach the Playoffs. This will take maximum effort from everyone involved in the program but I am convinced that we are up to the task.
