Hi Everyone

We have are last soccer practice for the 2012 season this Thursday at Hamilton Park from 5-6:30. Games this Saturday still at Railhead Park in Auburn 10:45 and 3:00. No Sunday Games.

Plan is to wear WHITE JERSEY AND WHITE SOCKS since we are the away team both games.

Friday Night Game vs Sac Heat

Great job girls with our 1-0 win over the Sacramento Heat this past Friday. Maybe we should play under the lights with some rain more often. Kasey crashed the net to give us our lone goal. Great job by Kyra and our defenders (Anna, Alex, Sheeva, and guest player Kylie). That was our 17th shut out this year. Overall record after 38 games is 22 wins, 8 losses, and 8 ties. We finished our league season 5th out of 11 teams, with a record of 5 wins, 3 losses, 2 ties. Great job by Raquel and Adriana to come out and support the team even though they were not playing. 

Commisioner's Cup

We plan to play 2 games on Saturday, December 1st. No games on Sunday. We play at 10:30 vs Elk Grove Renegades and 3 pm vs River City Mustang at Laguna Community Park in Elk Grove. We will practice at Hamilton Park on Tuesday and Thursday November 27th and 29th from 5 to 6:30. If we win both games on Saturday we will play for a championship game the following week.

Monday Reminder for any who can attend Sierra Soccer is having a dinner for parents and players 6:30 to 8:00 to discuss next year's soccer season. Cost is free. Players and Parents welcome at Cafe Le Monde restraunt. See directions in last e-mail. 

Tuesday Practice is at Hamilton from 5:00 to 6:30. No Thursday practice this week

Friday Soccer game is at 7 pm at Conlin South Park. Address is 7895 Freeport Blvd Sac CA  Arrive at 6:15 for warm ups (about 30 minutes from Carmichael) Take 80 towards San Francisco to I5 north towards LA, exit 512 towards Freeport. Take left on Pocket Road and then right on Freeport. Wear white jersey and white socks. Bring sweats will probably be cold.

After Friday's game will take one week off during Thanksgiving. Will return to practice Tuesday and Thursday Nov 27 and 29 at Hamilton and play Commissioner's Cup tournament Dec 1/2  TBA

                                             Galaxy 1  Chico 1

Good job today in Chico. We were down 2 players (Morgan and Gabby) 2 players injured during the game (Kristi and Rachel) and one ejection (Adi) but we managed to stick together in a physical game to tie the first place Samba 1-1. Great goal by Alex in the final 5 minutes and near other goal by Devyn in the final minute led to an exciting finish.

This week we move practice to Hamilton Park from 5 to 6:30. From ARC College we go straight down Myrtle and will dead in Park. Sunday we go to Chico to play the first place Samba's. Game is at Chico High School at 11 am. If anyone needs a ride be at my house at 8:00 am for a ride.

Good game. Very evenly matched. Only one goal in the game and comes 7 seconds after the 40 minute half. Our season record after 36 games is 21 wins 8 losses and 7 ties. Of the 8 losses, 6 of them have been 1 goal losses. We have been competitive with everyone.

                                             Galaxy 3 Roseville Rage 1

Unlucky start of the game. We take around 8 shots on goal and get nothing. Rage gets one shot and score a goal. Good comeback with goals by Kristi, Kasey and Anna.
