North Oconee "Titan Tide" Swimming and Diving Team

Congratulations to the Titan Tide! On Saturday, they placed first overall with 177 points to take home the Area Championship Title. The girls team took first place with 92 points and the boys team took second with 85 points. Event winners included:

Boys 200 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle- Ryan Browning

Girls 200 IM and 500 Free- Amber Juncker

Girls 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle- Rachel Greenwall

Boys 500 Freestyle- Ben Schmaltz

Girls 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay- Rebecca Greenwall, Allie Petersen, Rachel Greenwall, Amber Juncker

Boys 200 Medley Relay- Taylen Cooke, Wes Hutto, Ryan Browning, and Ben Schmaltz

The state team of Rachel Greenwall, Rebecca Greenwall, Ashley Cown, Allie Petersen, Ryan Browning, Ben Schmaltz, Amber Juncker, Haley Hamlin, Erin Springstead, Levi Mills, Preston Devaney, Taylen Cooke, Savannah Veal and Wes Hutto will compete this Friday and Saturday, February 12 and 13 at The Westminster School in Atlanta.

Congratulations to the Titan Tide! On Friday, the boys and girls teams both took first place out of 13 teams at their Ramsey Meet. The Titan Tide also placed first overall with a combined score of 1,144.5 points (Boys had 511.5 and girls scored 633). Event winners included:

Girls 200 Freestyle- Allie Petersen

Girls 200 IM and 100 Fly- Amber Junker

Girls 100 Freestyle- Rachel Greenwall

Girls 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay- Rebecca Greenwall, Allie Petersen, Rachel Greenwall, Amber Junker

Individuals who qualified for State include the Girls 200 Medley Relay of Haley Hamlin, Ashley Cown, Erin Springstead, and Savannah Veal; Taylen Cook in the Boys 100 Backstroke and Allie Petersen in the Girls 100 Freestyle.

The Titan Tide will compete again on February 6 in the Area Championship at Ramsey.

Congratulations to the Titan Tide! On Saturday, Dec. 19th, the Boy’s team took third place at Ramsey with 299 points beating 10 other teams. The Girl’s team took second place with 421 points, beating 11 other teams, including Oconee (took 3rd with 300). The Titan Tide placed second in the overall combined team scores with 720 points (Oconee took third with 694). Individual event winners included Amber Juncker in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.15, Rachel Greenwall in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 26.63, Amber Juncker in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:01.22, and Ben Schmaltz in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:01.89. The 200 Freestyle Relay of Schmaltz, Mills, Cooke, and Hutto took first with a time of 1:37.53. The 200 Freestyle Relay of Greenwall, Petersen, Greenwall, and Juncker took first with a time of 1:46.64. The Titan Tide will compete again on January 16th at the Ramsey Center.

Congratulations to the Undefeated Titan Tide!  On Saturday, the Boy’s team took first place at Ramsey with 509 points beating 9 other teams, including Oconee (took 2^nd with 313).  The Girl’s team also took first place with 518 points, beating 8 other teams, including Oconee (took 3^rd with 402).  Individual winners included  Preston Devaney  in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:01.7;  Jason Wright in the 200 IM with a time of 2:20.67;  Allie Petersen  in the 100 Back with a time of 1:08.18; and  Wes Hutto  in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:07.46.  The 200 Medley Relay of Cooke, Hutto, Devaney and Wright took first with a time of 1:50.18.  The 200 Free Relay of Devaney, Hutto, Wright and Cooke took first with a time of 1:39.72.  The 200 Free Relay of Greenwall, Cown, Greenwall and Petersen took first with a time of 1:50.60.   Wes Hutto  qualified for state in 100 Breast with a time of 1:07.46. The Titan Tide will compete again next Saturday, December 19 at the Ramsey Center.

Congratulations to the Titan Tide!  Both boys and girls took first on Friday night at Habersham beating 10 teams.  The 200 Medley Relay Team of  Taylen Cooke ,  Wes Hutto ,  Ryan Browning  and  Ben Schmaltz  won with a time of 1:47.41; the women’s 200 Medley Relay Team of  Allie Petersen ,  Rebecca Greenwall ,  Amber Juncker , and  Rachel Greenwall  won with a time of 2:01.95.  Individual event winners include  Amber Juncker  in the 200 Free with a time of 2:02.08,  Ashley Cown in the 200 IM with a time of 2:30.21;  Ryan Browning  in the 50 Free with a time of 23.57;  Ben Schmaltz  in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:01;  Amber Juncker  in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:01.9;  Ryan Browning  in the 100 Free with a time of 54.34;  Allie Petersen  in the 500 Free with a time of 6:00.7; and  Rebecca Greenwall  in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:17.4.  The 200 Free Relay team of  Ben Schmaltz ,  Preston Devaney ,  Taylen Cooke  and  Ryan Browning  won with a time of 1:35.  The 400 Relay team of  Clay Tanner ,  Jason Wright ,  Jake Johnson , and  Preston Devaney won with a time of 3:52.32. The women’s 400 Relay team of  Erin Springstead ,  Haley Hamlin ,  Brenna Springstead , and  Ashley Cown  won with a time of 4:27.39.  New state qualifiers include  Ben Schmaltz  in the 200 Free,  Amber Juncker  in the 200 Free and 100 Fly, the men’s 200 Free Relay team of Schmaltz, Devaney, Cooke, and Browning, and the women’s 200 Free relay of Greenwall, Greenwall, Petersen, and Juncker with a time of 1:49.92.
