Queen - We Are The Champion...

A Piranha is a member of a family of omnivorous freshwater fish which live in South American. They are known for their sharp and aggressive appetite for meat.

TPIRANHAS MOTTO

We are Ferocious because we Attack like a wave, and defend like a wall.

We are Committed because, Rain or Shine, no matter what, we are still on the field, playing our hearts to a game we love.

We are United because we train as a team, play as a team and win as a team. Nobody gets left behind.

Touch... This is Our game.

And so I stand here, A smile on my face.
I know we belong here, This is our place.
So when people ask why I do this all day, I say..
Because I Love it, I'm here to stay.

What keeps us going,
Runs through our every vein,
Is our undying love.. for this perfect game.

Hey girls, a couple of things to note.

1) Fiona & Yi Jie have updated the duty roster for the team, please click the "Facilities" button to know what you're supposed to do for duty before trainings. Please be responsible to get everything ready before trainings.

What to do for duty:

  • 2 Ball Bags (To pump appropriately and accordingly)
  • Agility Ladder
  • Distribute Balls into 3 groups (A, B and C; Heavy ball to one side)
  • 2 First Aid Kits
  • Fill 2 Ice Tubs and Small Blue Tub with Ice (1 to bring down to the field, 2nd to leave in ice cage)
  • Cones Bag
  • Fill 2 Bins with water

2) You are to bring your individual files every trainings and 2 of your own sand bottles to be brought down to the field ON YOUR OWN.

3) We need to hype the team up to work towards POL-ITE together. POL-ITE is coming closer and closer to us every training and we have to prove it to Marli, and even ourselves that we want it! It will definitely not be and easy fight and training is where we can show our TPIRANHAS SPIRIT ( Ferocious, Committed and United!). Its time to unravel our aggression during training and show our want to win. We can do this!

4) Muslim players, today is the start of Ramadhan and trainings are still on even for you. Do note that time would be given for you to break fast. Kindly bring your own food to eat, and RICE and  NOODLES are strictly not allowed. Bring food that can fill your stomach in that period of time.

5) As we know, Marli has split us into three groups. Here are the teams for training,

  • Team A - Amilianah Razak, Tan Yanlin, Elizabeth Wong, Clare Chan, Shermaine Sim, Isabel Kok, Betinah Soh, Jasmine Tan, Shazlin Ahmad, Adeline Long, Audrey Lange, Michelle Cheong, Grace Dimmick, Lim Yi Jie, Celeste Kwan

  • Team C - Alisha Seah, Amira Isa, Audrey Goh, Kimberley Look, Nur Izzati, She-Car, Shona Peh, Stephanie Koh, Sukhpreet, Vivian Ng

In the event that you cannot make it to trainings for whatever reason, remember you must only inform either LIANAH/YANLIN ONLY

6) Winter Touch League   Winter Touch League commences on 28 August 2010. The games would be every Saturday between 12pm-5pm. Finals would be on the 6th of November. Please get $96 ready for payment. ($8x12weeks). An Affiliation fee by the TFS of $12.50 would be imposed for those who did not participate in STL.

  • Marli would like players to play - preferably in the team mentioned - A, B & C. Team A & B will be playing in the Women's B while Team C will be playing in the youth category.
Please let Shermaine Sim know if you can commit to play by Tuesday, 17th August. Thanks girls! And to the Muslim players, Selamat Berpuasa :) Dhabi.

News Article - - Aug 11, 2010

day Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of SAA, I will like to thank you very much for sending your teams down to participate in the talk and the SYOG Torch Relay Celebration yesterday. I hope you all found the talk useful and that you have enjoyed being a part of history as the next YOG to be hosted in Singapore could be many many years away.  Though we waited for a few hours just to cheer the flame for about 5 secs, I hope you all realized that it is the little things that everybody does that makes the torch relay a spectacular and meaningful event for all.

And I will like to apologize for my absence as I’m involved in other areas during the torch relay. However, once again I know that you guys are worth working for; especially for me as an advisor. Pls continue to work together, cheer together and enjoy the friendship that you have built; sometimes the journey will make the destination worth it, no matter where it is.

Cheers

Adrian
