Reyes, who is from Liberia, Jamaican Ricardo Williams and American Jeff Laynes represented their respective countries at a free track and field clinic hosted by Runner’s Paradise. The athletes shared sprinting tips with the group after fielding questions from spectators. Reyes, Williams, and Laynes will take part in the Runner’s Paradise 100-meter Challenge, beginning at 7 p.m., on Saturday at the Trojans Blue & Gold Invitational Finals. Also competing, but have not yet arrived on Maui, are sprinters Garry Jones, Carlos Moore and Andre Ammons.Rudy Huber, owner of Runner’s Paradise, introduced the athletes and each talked about himself briefly before fielding questions from the crowd. The kids later went into groups and received more hands on instruction from the elite athletes. ~Rodney S. Yap
