Mary Washington is a Division III member of the NCAA and a member of the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). Our cheerleading squad is made up of 12-20 women and men who cheer for both men’s and women’s basketball. For more information click the links tab in the main menu. Interested in trying out for the 2009-2010 UMW Cheerleading Squad? Come to our informational meeting Thursday, April 23 at 5:30pm. Location: Fitness Center Conference Room. This meeting is open to all current UMW students as well as local high school seniors who are planning to attend UMW in the fall. Please contact emclark16@yahoo.com with any questions.

If so and you would still like to participate this season we are holding informal tryouts in the auxiliary gym every Thursday from 5-7pm until October 16th. Both men and women are needed and practice is ONLY ONCE A WEEK! If interested please contact Beth Wolfrey at ewolfrey@umw.edu with any questions and to let us know that you’re coming.
