The Western Oregon Men's Lacrosse team was founded in 2004. In 2005, Western became a member team of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). The MCLA is a national organization of non-NCAA college lacrosse programs consisting of over 200 teams in two divisions. WOU competes in Division 2 of the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) against opponents like Southern Oregon University, Western Washington University, and the University of Portland.
